MaUWB new version firmware V1.1.2, with extra new AT command:

  • AT+SETPAN=(x1)

Function: Set a tag/anchor Group/Pan

  • AT+GETPAN?

Function: Get a tag/anchor Group/Pan.

MaUWB support max 8 anchors+64 tags, but we got many customer’s requests, that they need more anchors/tags in the system, considering the update ratio/ user difficulty, MaUWB new released firmware v1.1.2, that now it supports multiple Group/Pan.

That is, you can set multiple groups now:

  • Each group still support max 8 anchors+64 tags.
  • Only Anchors/Tags with the same group/pan index can communicate.

With this upgrades, if more than 8 anchors needed in the system, they can be set to multiple group/pan(such as Pan_1 and Pan_2), a moving tag (for example tag_1)can either join the Pan_1 or Pan_2, for better positioning.

The latest firmware has now been released. The latest firmware is:

What is UWB? Why create MaUWB?

Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a technology that enables secure reliable ranging and precision sensing, through wireless communication, but the most problem of UWB is the signal mutual conflicts/interference, that when there multiple anchors&tags exists. Makerfabs solves this problem with the MaUWB module, which supports up to 8 anchors, 64 tags, and transmission distances of up to 500 meters, and can be controlled by simple AT commands.
